Three minutes every hour….

Picture the scene: you’re sitting at your desk, head down, beavering away for the man. You are completely ensconced in work of the utmost importance; perhaps you’re finding a cure for cancer or you may be calculating an insurance quote. If you’re really lucky and the boss is out of the office, you’re probably on a social media site.

Suddenly, the countdown begins over the office tannoy. Ten-nine-eight. You look round. Colleagues are emerging from their stupors. Seven-six-five. Some are reaching for their gym shoes and psyching themselves for what lies ahead. Four-three-two. The beat is getting louder…..then everyone is on their feet.

For three minutes every hour everyone in the office forms a loose conga and skips around the room. over the course of a working day everyone has a bit of a laugh, lets off steam and gets 20 minutes exercise.

The result is a happier, fitter workforce who don’t take themselves too seriously. They’re guaranteed time away from the computer screens, a blast of cardiovascular and bounce around the room to some motivational music. It will put a smile on everyone’s face.
